PATCH is an interactive physics mentor built on the Curved Horizons STEM Program (Chapters 1–31) by Alan Lasker. It teaches at four bands — Foundations, High School, Advanced Enrichment, and Human Dimensions, the human and ethical side of the science.
Things to try:
Games: the Games button opens Slingshot — a set of trajectory puzzles built on the same physics as the program. Passing behind a moving mass really does add speed to the ship, and passing a still one really does not. The simulation is honest, so what is learned there transfers.
Install it: on iPhone or iPad, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. On Android, open the browser menu and tap Install app. It will then open full screen with its own icon.
Privacy: no accounts, no names, no email, no cookies, no advertising, and no third-party scripts of any kind. The only thing recorded is an anonymous daily tally — how many questions were asked and which chapters and levels came up — with nothing tying any of it to a person or device. Questions themselves are never stored.
More than one student on this device? Each student has their own access code, and each code is set to its own teaching band. Use Switch code below when the next student takes over — it clears the conversation on screen and asks for a code, so nobody starts inside somebody else's session.
Answers are generated by AI and drawn from the supplement. Verify anything important against the manual itself.
